Our client in the engineering consulting industry is looking for an Administrative Manager within 2 hours of Waterford CT to add to their remote this key role you will manage accounting operations corporate compliance filings and HR administration while overseeing a small team supporting administrative accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in general accounting via QuickBooks payroll and compliance support within a professional services or consulting environment. To be successful you must be highly organized proactive flexible and able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting. Administrative Manager (QuickBooks Accounting Payroll & Compliance Req) Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the administrative AR and AP teams
Manage accounting workflows to ensure accuracy timeliness and compliance
Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts credit cards and payroll
Maintain bookkeeping reconciliations and reporting in QuickBooks
Maintain federal and state compliance calendars and manage all required filings
Coordinate tax filings renewals licenses regulatory filings insurance audits and 1099 reporting
Prepare and support monthly collections reporting for leadership
Administer HR processes including onboarding offboarding benefits and employee records
Support annual tax preparation and coordinate with external accounting and tax partners
Serve as the primary administrative contact for staff vendors and leadership
Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Administrative Manager (QuickBooks Accounting Payroll & Compliance Req) Qualifications
7 years in a similar multifaceted role supporting a small to mid-size business is required
Experience in the consulting or professional services industry is required
General accounting & payroll experience is required
Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required
Experience maintaining corporate compliance filings and compliance calendars is required
Ability to attend in-person meetings at the Waterford CT office one day per month is required
