Position

Join WCF Insurance as a Software Development Intern and experience an educational handson approach to learning about insurance and mitigating risk. This is a fulltime (40 hours per week) temporary internship based at WCFs Sandy Utah headquarters. As an intern you will work closely with our Information Technology team on software development projects providing an excellent opportunity for computer science majors to gain realworld experience and build practical skills in the IT field.

After the internship there is a possibility of a part-time position as an apprentice. We offer full benefits starting at 20 hours per week for apprentices.

Responsibilities

As part of our internship cohort youll collaborate with fellow interns and departments to learn about insurance from a variety of perspectives. The program includes weekly paid training sessions on insurance terminology and regular opportunities to share experiences and insights with your cohort.

Along with these learning opportunities you will primarily focus on collaborating with the development team on software and coding projects.

Qualifications

Completed Sophomore year of college or more.
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related areas.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
General written and oral communication skills.

Pay: $20/hour for internship. Increase to pay for apprenticeship.
