What You Will Do:
As the Procurement Manager of the Tucson Proving Ground facility you will play a critical role in strengthening our Supply Chain organization. You will lead a team and oversee all purchasing and sourcing activities driving operational efficiency and enhancing supplier relationships to ensure timely cost-effective procurement that aligns with project this role you will develop and implement sourcing strategies manage supplier performance and mitigate supply risks to support business continuity. You will be responsible for managing daily procurement operations monitoring key metrics and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement as our supply chain grows in both volume and complexity.

The position requires a detail-oriented professional who excels at executing purchasing tasks conducting tactical negotiations and providing analytical support based on data. You will collaborate cross-functionally with business units legal engineering and finance to ensure compliance with policies and effective contract management. By consistently adhering to compliance standards and industry best practices you will contribute to delivering high-quality solutions that fulfill customer requirements drive innovation and support organizational success.

Education Qualification:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or related field (Masters preferred)

What Skills You Will Have:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Drive change and innovation to mitigate supply risks and optimize procurement processes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with business units legal engineering and finance to ensure compliance and effective contract management.

Operational Excellence
Oversee daily procurement operations including quote requests purchase orders invoice/contract approvals and vendor management.
Monitor key performance metrics analyze data and recommend improvements for continuous process enhancement.
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations contract specifications and company policies.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Serve as the primary escalation point for supplier issues resolving routine concerns and escalating complex matters as needed.
Research and select alternative vendors to ensure quality delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Team Development
Lead mentor and develop procurement staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Provide feedback and coaching on effective communication and negotiation.

Risk & Quality Management
Identify and mitigate supply risks to support business continuity.
Utilize quality indicators and continuous improvement processes to enhance procurement outcomes.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Experience in procurement or supply chain management including exposure to leadership responsibilities
• Proficiency with procurement systems and data analytics tools (e.g. Excel Power BI)
• Capabilities in negotiation analysis and communication
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Additional Details:

• This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Tucson Proving Ground in Green Valley AZ.
• Employees at this location enjoy a 9/80 schedule which provides an additional 26 days off per year enhancing work-life balance.

Summary Pay Range:
