Job Summary: -

The SAP HANA Database Administrator is responsible for ensuring the high availability stability and optimal performance of SAP HANA and MS-SQL database environments in a 24x7 operational setup. This role involves proactive monitoring rapid response to incidents and efficient management of database outages to minimize downtime. The administrator will support standard and custom database builds execute service requests and perform detailed root cause analyses to prevent recurring issues. Key responsibilities include managing backups and recovery processes optimizing database performance and maintaining effective alert monitoring. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills the ability to work under pressure and clear communication for incident and service request coordination.

Job Responsibilities:

Address and resolve database incidents promptly to minimize downtime.

Monitor events handle alerts and manage database outages to restore services quickly.

Process service requests for database changes and enhancements.

Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring database issues.

Support the implementation of standard and custom database builds.

Provide operational support for HANA and MS-SQL databases.

Ensure adherence to backup and recovery processes.

Optimize database performance and manage alert monitoring.

Decommission systems/servers following proper protocols as needed.

Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field

Strong experience with HANA and MS-SQL databases.

2 - 5 years of experience in database administration with a focus on HANA and MS-SQL..

Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Computer Engineering or any related field.

Proficiency in RDBMS management and administration.

Knowledge of backup recovery and decommissioning processes.

Experience in incident management and database performance optimization in a 24x7 environment.

Experience managing database outages and coordinating effective recovery.

Familiarity with alert monitoring and performance optimization.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 support environment.

Effective communication skills for incident and service request management.

Prior experience in 24x7 operational support.
