The Opportunity
The Cruise Account Representative administers the planning forecasting contracting and precise delivery of awarded business to a cruise line directly impacting the companys financial results reputation and client relationships. Representative will work in a team-oriented multi-disciplinary environment in collaboration with the Ambassatours Cruise Corp. management team. This position requires a superiorly organized individual able to tackle multiple projects and duties with appropriate time management.
What youll do
Responsibilities
- Oversees the procurement of shore excursions through email contact with cruise line head offices
- Prepares proposals specific to the port and clients requested programs
- Sets tour schedules with the cruise line and works with the ship staff to provide capacities and clear waitlists
- Confirms supplier contracts
- Works with the ship staff to ensure accuracy of tour content being advertised to guests
- Monitors and develops the quality of the shore excursions and guest experiences
- Responds to shore excursion staff inquiries
- Preparation of daily paperwork used by support staff to ensure smooth tour dispatch
- Organization and confirmation of tour vehicles guides suppliers etc. for cruise arrivals
- Resolves shore excursion staff and guest concerns and complaints
- Responsible for reconciliation and signing of invoices
- Supports company cruise support staff including tour guides and pier coordinators
- Maintains strong communication with colleagues clients & partners
- Maintain tour statistics throughout season
- Participation in regular meetings with manager and department team

Attributes of a Successful Candidate Include but are not limited to:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Tourism or Business management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Effective conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite programs - Word Excel Teams Etc.
- Friendly customer-focused personality
- Professional manner and appearance
