Job Summary
Senior Transport Planner
Leicester or Nottingham
38000 - 48000
A well-established transport planning and engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join its Midlands team based from offices in either Leicester or Nottingham. The role sits within an experienced and collaborative transport planning group supporting a wide range of development projects for private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing Transport Statements Transport Assessments and Travel Plans for planning submissions
- Advising on highway and transport-related planning matters including access strategies and feasibility studies
- Producing preliminary horizontal designs for site access junctions and highway improvement works for highway authority approval
- Delivering work to a high technical standard within agreed timescales
- Working independently while supporting junior team members when required
- Building strong working relationships with clients design teams and highway authorities
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in transport planning
- Competence using industry software such as TRICS and Junctions
- Experience with LinSig GIS AutoCAD AutoTrack PDS Sign/Line or similar software is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong technical organisational and communication skills
