Wilson Excavating is looking for a skilled and motivated Painters to join our team in New Wilmington PA. If you take pride in hands-on work enjoy working outdoors and want to be part of a respected safety-driven construction company this could be the opportunity for you.
In this role youll play a key part in protecting critical facilities and pipelines from corrosion and long-term that truly makes a difference.
What Youll Do
Prepare surfaces for painting by taping off sensitive areas and sandblasting steel to near white metal
Apply primer paint and clear coat using a forced-air spray pot
Excavate around pipes to remove and replace anti-corrosion wrap
Follow detailed specifications and safety procedures to deliver high-quality results
Work as part of a team that values QUALITY CRAFTSMENSHIP ACCOUNTABILITY and SAFETY
What Were Looking For
High school diploma or GED
Experience using a sandblaster and forced-air spray pot
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Commitment to working safely and following company safety policies
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates
- Willingness to travel daily to worksites in the Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio region.
Physical Requirements
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing lifting balancing walking stooping and handling of materials. Considerable time spent standing; Job requires wearing common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes glasses gloves and hard hats; Considerable time spent using hands to handle control or feel objects tools or controls. Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Frequently required to talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close and distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment
Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme heat and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; exposure to fumes airborne particles and vibration; loud working environment.
