Job Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)

  • Act as primary point of contact (internal & external) for all TowHaul facilities and equipment maintenance needs.
  • On call to fix or arrange to have fixed any building grounds or equipment issues.
  • Perform maintenance directly when skilled in the particular area or coordinate and manage contractors for specialized maintenance needs.
  • Maintain and service manufacturing equipment including forklifts sandblasting machines welding machines drills saws and other production machinery.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs and service records for all equipment.
  • Develop and maintain a positive respectful and high-performing work environment.
  • Live and promote the companys four core values (Community Integrity Team and Commitment) in an ethical and motivating manner.
  • A partial list of examples is shown below:
    • Change oil and air filters in air compressors every 3 months.
    • Change the air filters for the HVAC systems every 3 months.
    • Grease shop exhaust fans service belts clean fan blades and blow the motors out annually or on request.
    • Blow off all lights in shops annually or on request.
    • Manage lawn maintenance and weed control property-wide.
    • Coordinate cardboard recycling.
    • Coordinate snow plowing/sanding in winter.
    • Schedule crane maintenance/repair/annual inspections.
    • Manage septic pump schedules and other similar needs.
    • Monitor/manage other equipment maintenance and inspections as may be needed based on management requirements.
  • Reports to Production Manager for planning performance and budgetary needs.

  • Ability to assess when to perform maintenance directly versus when to engage specialized contractors

  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate however can be severe and caution shall be executed with the use of PPE as required when working in the fabrication shop. The noise level when working in the office will be minimal.
