St. Patrick Regional Secondary is a Catholic co-educational secondary school with 500 students from Grades 8 to 12 located in Vancouverʼs picturesque Mount Pleasant neighbourhood the traditional unceded and ancestral territory of the xʷməθkʷəyəm Sḵwxwú7mesh and səlilwətaɬ First Nations. JOB DESCRIPTION

Term:

  • Full-Time
  • 1 year (renewable)


Core Competencies & Specific Qualities:

  • Passion for the education of young people in a Catholic school environment
  • Understanding of and affinity for the diverse needs of all learners
  • Dynamic and energetic individual who wishes to work in a highly focused environment
  • Bachelorʼs Degree in Education (or related field) with at least five years of teaching experience
  • BC Teaching Certification


Responsibilities:

  • Write IEPʼs and work closely with: the Learning Support Coordinator to plan execute curriculum for divergent learners; and with the Life Skills Teacher to design curriculum for independent life skills that incorporates functional literacy and numeracy employment skills recreational skills and social skills
  • Manage classroom teachersʼ careful considerations of IEP goals in assessing learner progress
  • Organize assign and work with EAs to deliver personalized programs
  • Develop appropriate learning tools that promote learning for students on modified programs


Priority consideration will be given to applicants with a current pastoral reference.

Salary: $73447 to $111727
