Teaches and facilitates learning by delivering content and providing feedback or support to enhance overall understanding and skill.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Teaches course curriculum to participants such as licensed healthcare professional patients and families or the general public.
  • Communicates with program coordinator or manager regarding relevant class information in a timely manner.
  • May assist with curriculum development or identification and definition of the educational needs of the program participants.
  • Presents a welcoming environment for participants and portrays a positive enthusiastic professional attitude for participants.
  • May coordinate program check-in and collect evaluations and payments from participants.
  • Maintains cleanliness and order in the classroom. Re-sets rooms if changes for classroom activity unless other arrangements have been made.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent licensure or certification required.
  • Masters Degree preferred.


Licensure Requirement:

Valid Ohio drivers license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection insurance eligibility driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Childrens Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.


Skills:

  • Teaching and presentation skills for the classroom.
  • Effective communication skills for relating to all levels of participants.
  • Initiative decision-making problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of adult and child learning styles and effective teaching principles.

Experience:

Experience in educational program development and design required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Drives throughout Central and Southeastern Ohio frequently.
