Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil Inspector for a long-term project assignment running from mid-February through year-end 2025. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong concrete expertise and the ability to ensure quality control and compliance throughout all phases of civil construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of civil construction activities with emphasis on concrete work including pours finishing and structural integrity
• Pull and verify field measurements to ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering drawings
• Monitor environmental compliance throughout project phases including erosion control stormwater management and permit requirements
• Utilize BlueBeam software for markup measurement verification and documentation of inspection findings
• Review and interpret civil drawings specifications and project requirements
• Document daily inspection activities non-conformances and corrective actions
• Coordinate with contractors engineers and project management regarding quality issues and compliance matters
• Conduct pre-pour inspections and verify proper installation of formwork reinforcement and embedments
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and best management practices on-site

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Civil Inspector on construction projects
• Strong background in concrete inspection including placement finishing and quality control
• Demonstrated ability to accurately pull field measurements and verify dimensional compliance
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements for construction sites
• Proficient in BlueBeam software for document markup and field measurements
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
• Experience with pipeline or energy infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with erosion and sediment control practices

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Capable of walking project sites and accessing all areas of construction
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
