The Core Services team within AWS Applied AI Solutions is creating the foundations that will power the next generation of AI agents from small business to enterprise scale. As a technical leader youll lead our new agentic AI building blocks initiative pioneering the development of reusable AI components that accelerate and standardize AI product delivery across AWS business applications such as contact center supply chain healthcare and life sciences. Youll own one critical capability area such as agent identity and governance agent collaboration & orchestration agent evaluation or knowledge management and have the privilege to define what we build and how we build it.

This role combines the excitement of a startup environment with the scale of AWS. Youll research state-of-the-art open source and internal tools tackle highly ambiguous problems and lead a team building a V1 product from the ground up. You wont just be implementing someone elses vision youll chart the course define the roadmap and create solutions that eliminate non-differentiating work while ensuring enterprise-grade quality and consistency. - 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of engineering experience
- 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- 3 years of Software Engineer Software Developer or related occupational experience
- 1 years of providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle experience
- 1 years of developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java C# or C experience
- 1 years of developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software systems using service-oriented architecture experience
- 1 years of developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
