Senior Financial Accountant
Leeds / Hybrid - 3 days per week in office (LS15 8ZB)
About the role
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Financial Accountant to support our EMEA finance function. This role will play a critical part in ensuring balance sheet integrity robust intercompany processes accurate cashflow forecasting support and strong contribution during audit and statutory reporting cycles. The successful candidate will work across multiple legal entities and partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality financial information.
Balance Sheet & Financial Control
- Own and perform balance sheet reconciliations across multiple legal entities ensuring accuracycompletenessandtimelyresolution of reconciling items
- Perform month-end reconciliations for fixed assets and intangible assets including additions disposalsamortisationand depreciation
- Prepare and deliver monthly balance sheet analytics highlighting risksmovementsand key insights for senior stakeholders
- Maintain strong financial controls and documentation to support audit requirements
Month-End & Intercompany Accounting
- Manage month-end intercompany reconciliations including investigation and resolution of variances
- Post intercompany revaluations and ensureaccuraterelated party accounting in line with group policies
- Work closely with group and regional finance teams to ensure intercompany balances are aligned and settled
Cashflow & Treasury Support
- Support with EMEA cashflow forecasting working cross-functionally (FP&A commercial operations and treasury) to helpestablishreliable and well-supported assumptions
- Assistwith currency management including monitoring FX exposures and revaluation impacts
- Support ongoing cash monitoring providing visibility on liquidityrisksand short-term funding needs
Audit & Statutory Support
- Support the statutory reporting team during audits and peak reporting periods
- Prepare audit schedules respond to auditorqueriesand ensuretimelyresolution of issues
- Assistwith statutory accounts preparation whererequired
What Youll Bring:
Essential
- Fully qualified accountant: ACAACCAor CIMA
- Strong experience in financial accounting ideally within a multi-entity or international environment
- Experience with fixed asset and intangible accounting including depreciation andamortisation
- Solid understanding of cashflow forecasting and working capital
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Desirable
- Experience supporting EMEA or international regions
- Exposure to FX and currency management
- Experience working with ERP systems ( Oracle NetSuite)
- Audit experience or strong exposure to external audits
