A prominent national pharmaceutical manufacturer is expanding its commercial team and is seeking an experienced Wound Care & Ostomy Product Specialist. This role is ideal for a clinically knowledgeable professional who enjoys engaging with healthcare teams driving product adoption and supporting improved patient care.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will champion a specialised portfolio within wound care and ostomy ensuring healthcare professionals and end users are confident informed and supported in their product choices. The position requires a balance of clinical insight commercial acumen and strong relationshipbuilding skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and territory insights
- Complete administrative tasks efficiently
- Track competitor activity and market shifts
- Keep customer databases updated and actively pursue new leads
- Drive order generation and ensure consistent product availability
- Maintain accurate territory reporting including activity logs and monthly statistics
- Deliver product demonstrations training sessions and patient education
- Address customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Identify new business opportunities and areas for market expansion
- Monitor and manage monthly expenditure in line with company guidelines
- Execute territory plans to grow product usage and achieve sales objectives
- Develop strong trustbased relationships with clinicians nursing teams and procurement stakeholders
Candidate Profile
- At least 23 years experience in medical device or wound care sales
- Qualification in a Health Science discipline (degree or diploma)
- Strong clinical understanding (advantageous)
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office and digital communication tools
- Existing relationships within the healthcare sector are beneficial
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle
