Our premises are within the Purdys Wharf complex which provides amenities such as an on-site daycare and a fitness centre. Our office is connected to the downtown pedway system and situated on Halifaxs beautiful waterfront providing easy access to ferry and bus transit hubs banks restaurants and shopping.

The opportunity

We are seeking to fill an Internal Services Associate position within our Pension Division. This opportunity includes records administration reception services telephone operation and document imaging quality control and data capture verification. The IS Associate role requires strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to switch focus quickly while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

What you need to be successful

  • Grade 12 plus 4 years of related experience. Equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable. Related experience must include records management duties and work in a customer-focused environment ideally in reception or contact center.
  • Successful completion of an office administration business technology and/or records management training course is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook is required.
  • Proficiency in working with electronic records management and document imaging software and hardware would be an asset.
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment. Must demonstrate initiative maintain confidentiality have strong organizational skills and be able to work under the pressure of demanding work volumes.
  • Exhibit well-developed communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Log and file both alpha and numeric data effectively and efficiently.
  • Reaching and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Ability to bend stand squat and crouch for extended periods of time.


Job Status: Permanent Full Time; unionized (NSGEU)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $1966.60- $ 2194.60 (bi-weekly)

Closing Date: February 1 2026
