Responsibilities:
KBR provides innovative and cost-effective services and solutions to national security and industry customers. We are leading the way for national security and commercial space integration developing innovative solutions to tomorrows challenges today. We are seeking an individual for a position of Integration and Test Engineer in the MilSatcom arena. Position entails supporting our customers Government Furnished test equipment to industry contractors. Customer is MIT Lincoln Laboratory (MIT LL). As a representative of MIT LL you will install maintain sustain and train on use of equipment. With use of equipment by contractors you will provide Subject Matter Expert support in their system integration and testing. Part of tasking will entail supporting technical exchange meetings test planning procedure reviews and providing technical reports to management and our MIT LL customer. This position requires the candidate to have an active DoD secret clearance.
Duties to include:
Install configure and operate MIT LL test equipment at contractor facilities
Support contractor integration and testing activities as MIT LL representative
Troubleshooting of issues during integration and testing
Detailed reporting of issues back to MIT LL and coordinating of resolution
Perform periodic maintenance on customer equipment at contractor sites
May require travel to MIT LL at Lexington Massachusetts for internal testing and training
May also require other travel to industry contractor locations mostly in CONUS
Required:
Active DoD secret clearance
A minimum of 10 years of Experience in system-level integration of software and hardware components to test and validate system performance with specific experience in MILSATCOM systems
Familiarity with one or more of the following: MILSTAR AEHFEPS ESS
Knowledge of use of RF equipment; O-scope spectrum analyzer and bit error testers
Good oral and communication skills
Willing and able to travel (up to 25% typically CONUS)
Outgoing and energetic with the ability to work within a team environment
Bachelors Degree
Desired:
Familiarity with MILSATCOM protocols and procedures
Familiarity with JAVA C and / or C
Possess strong oral and written communications skills and must be able to present findings/results to internal and external organizations
BS Degree in EE or CS fields
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Salary Compensation for the California area for this position: $150000-$180000
