Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Supports management in leading daily activities of department and team members by performing the following duties.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides work direction to team members. Monitors compliance of current Company and department policies and procedures. Communicates performance behavior standards and expectations; provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation.
  • Monitor equipment and supplies and initiates repair/replacement/re-order process. Monitors the progress of the process to assure timely completion. Completes administrative tasks relating to the process and other activities as assigned.
  • Provides assistance to the Costume Specialist Is and Costume Dressers as needed with issue fitting and dressing tasks.
  • Ensure the costume work areas remain clean and organized.
  • Gather weekly performer scheduling through UO computer system to facilitate costume preset process. Monitor and facilitate special events requests.
  • Observe shows/character sets for costume appearance notes to maintain quality. Communicate and troubleshoot with Entertainment Supervisory team members as it relates to issue/notes that have arisen surrounding costumes.
  • Organize and assist with training of new and current team members. Ensure trainer is identified and that training is being delivered per Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High school degree or GED Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.

EXPERIENCE:

0-1 Year: Ability to perform basic costume repairs and completion of 90 days of service with Universal Orlando required six months to one-year experience providing work direction and previous theatrical experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Florida Drivers License preferred.
