Job Summary

Welder

Availability on 1st 2nd and 3rd Shift (8 hour days)
$40 - $43 p/h
Chemical Manufacturer
Chapel Glen IN (West Indianapolis)
Must be able to pass a Stick Welding Test (SMAW)
Must have Mechanical Maintenance / Millwright ability

Key Responsibilities:

Perform corrective and preventative mechanical maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot repair and maintain mechanical systems using technical documentation schematics and drawings.
Install new plant machinery and perform mechanical and fabrication work as needed.
Repair and maintain pumps piping systems gearboxes conveyors and other process equipment.
Perform steel fabrication repairs and modifications to support plant operations.
Maintain a clean organized and safe work area in compliance with company and site-specific safety programs.
Promote and enforce environmental health and safety (EHS) standards across all activities.
Support other maintenance and production needs as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications:

23 years of recent industrial maintenance millwright or machine repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
Must pass an S.M.A.W. (stick welding) test; strong knowledge of metal properties and safe welding practices.
Ability to use computer systems for maintenance documentation or work orders (CMMS experience a plus).
