Job Summary

The Aurora R-VIII School District is seeking a high energy Culture Builder and Instructional Leader to serve as the Director of Special Education!

SALARY RANGE will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Preference will be given to candidates with three (3) or more years experience in a Special Education leadership/administrative /process coordinator role(s) and five (5) or more years of Special Education experience.

Aurora R-VIII has a strong tradition of community support academic success and a students first approach! The unique FOUR-DAY work week with Fridays being the weekday school is not in-session allows for an appealing schedule with a consistent three (3) day weekend.

The district has established a dynamic Special Education program.

This position is a TWELVE (12) MONTH contracted commitment with the four (4) day-week expectation and would begin on July 1st 2026.
