SEN Teacher Camden January 2026

A specialist independent day school in Central London is seeking a caring and experienced SEN Teacher to join its Primary team from January 2026 (or February half-term). You will teach small classes across Early Years to Year 2 supporting pupils with speech language and communication needs including autistic learners. Working closely with highly skilled Teaching Assistants and an in-house therapy team you will deliver a personalised curriculum that builds communication confidence and academic progress.

Salary and benefits

  • Salary from 38100 per annum depending on experience and qualifications including Central London weighting.
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • Small classes of around 8 pupils with excellent adult support.
  • Daily collaboration with Speech and Language Therapists Occupational Therapists Physiotherapists and Creative Therapists.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and teach engaging Primary lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Assess track and report on progress including annual review paperwork.
  • Write and review Individual Education Plans and targets.
  • Work in partnership with TAs therapists and families to deliver joined-up support.
  • Use calm consistent behaviour strategies to help every child succeed.

About you

  • QTS (or equivalent) and at least two years Primary teaching experience.
  • Confident teaching EYFS and/or KS1.
  • Strong SEN experience particularly autism and speech language and communication needs.
  • Flexible creative and team-oriented with excellent classroom practice.
