SEN Teacher Camden January 2026
A specialist independent day school in Central London is seeking a caring and experienced SEN Teacher to join its Primary team from January 2026 (or February half-term). You will teach small classes across Early Years to Year 2 supporting pupils with speech language and communication needs including autistic learners. Working closely with highly skilled Teaching Assistants and an in-house therapy team you will deliver a personalised curriculum that builds communication confidence and academic progress.
Salary and benefits
- Salary from 38100 per annum depending on experience and qualifications including Central London weighting.
- Permanent full-time position.
- Small classes of around 8 pupils with excellent adult support.
- Daily collaboration with Speech and Language Therapists Occupational Therapists Physiotherapists and Creative Therapists.
- Strong CPD programme including accredited speech and language training.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging Primary lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Assess track and report on progress including annual review paperwork.
- Write and review Individual Education Plans and targets.
- Work in partnership with TAs therapists and families to deliver joined-up support.
- Use calm consistent behaviour strategies to help every child succeed.
About you
- QTS (or equivalent) and at least two years Primary teaching experience.
- Confident teaching EYFS and/or KS1.
- Strong SEN experience particularly autism and speech language and communication needs.
- Flexible creative and team-oriented with excellent classroom practice.
