Staff Web Developer

Koniag IT Systems LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Staff Web Developer to support KITS and our government customer in Tysons VA. This position is hybrid candidates may be required to travel onsite at the Tysons VA location. This role requires strong technical leadership expertise in and React ecosystems and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile Functions Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:The Staff Web Developer will design develop and deploy full-stack web applications using frameworks and react while collaborating with government stakeholders QA teams and project management to deliver high-quality solutions. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Design develop test and deploy client-specific configurations and platform enhancements across the full technology stackBuild and maintain robust API features in C# using frameworks ( Core Entity Framework Core) with emphasis on security performance and reliabilityDesign and implement front-end applications in React and TypeScript with strong focus on performance accessibility and user experienceParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning daily standups retrospectives and backlog refinementCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Government stakeholders QA Development Project Management and Support to meet release and delivery requirementsManage complex release cycles across multiple environments ensuring smooth deployments and minimal disruptionMaintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications APIs and architectural decisionsDrive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for optimization automation and enhanced development practicesDesign and implement scalable architectures following clean architecture principles SOLID design patterns and distributed system best practicesWork with cloud platforms and containerized applications to ensure optimal deployment and scalabilityContribute to CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure as code implementationsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to development team membersEducation and Experience:Required:Bachelors degree or 4 years relevant experience in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Software Engineering or related field4 years of professional software development experience Core and Entity Framework Core4 years of professional experience with modern front-end frameworks (React Angular or )Demonstrated experience managing complex release cycles across multiple environmentsRequired Skills and Competencies:Proficiency in C# Core and building RESTful APIs following industry best practicesStrong expertise in React and TypeScript for building responsive accessible web applicationsSolid understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS) and database design principlesExperience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) including deployment monitoring and optimizationHands-on experience with containerized applications using Docker and orchestration with KubernetesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practicesDeep knowledge of clean architecture SOLID principles and distributed system design patternsStrong understanding of scalable architecture design and implementationProficiency with version control systems particularly Git and collaborative workflows (branching strategies pull requests code reviews)Exceptional communication skills in English both written and oral with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholdersExcellent collaboration skills working with distributed teams across different time zones and organizational boundariesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detailAbility to work effectively in an Agile development environmentSelf-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesCommitment to writing clean maintainable and well-documented codeDesired Skills and Competencies:Experience with Redux Toolkit for state management in React applicationsExperience working within federal government IT environments and understanding of government system requirementsFamiliarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban frameworksProficiency with Atlassian tools including Jira for project tracking and Confluence for documentationExperience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins GitHub Actions Azure DevOps) and infrastructure automation (Terraform CloudFormation)Expertise in database performance optimization including:Index design and optimization strategiesQuery plan analysis and tuningPartitioning strategies for large datasetsPerformance tuning for both OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) workloadsKnowledge of security best practices secure coding practices and authentication/authorization patternsExperience with automated testing frameworks (xUnit Playwright)Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design patternsUnderstanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) A11y and Section 508 complianceKnowledge of DevOps practices and site reliability engineering principlesSecurity Requirement:Ability to obtain a Public TrustOur Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
