Job Summary
Waters Edge Lodge a senior living facility located in Alameda California is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for performing various maintenance and repair duties to ensure the safety functionality and aesthetics of our facility.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly position working 4 days a week with a compensation rate of $21 to $25 per hour. The current scheduled days are Sunday-Wednesday. The individual will be paid biweekly
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify any maintenance or repair needs
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting plumbing (mostly replacing toilets and fixing leaking sinks) HVAC and light electrical repairs
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure the safety and security of the facility by identifying and addressing potential hazards
- Communicate regularly with the management team to provide updates on maintenance activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
- Skilled in multiple trades such as plumbing electrical and carpentry
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform manual labor
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Waters Edge Lodge is an assisted living facility with 101 apartments for frail elderly. Residents are permitted to have pets so employees may be exposed to cats and/or dogs in the course of their work.
