Job Summary

THE OPPORTUNITYWe have an opportunity for a Senior Manager Advisor Development and Practice Growth (Retail) to join our award-winning firm in the Vancouver YOULL DOReporting to the Head of Practice Management this role leads the design and delivery of an integrated advisor development strategy for our Retail businesssupporting both onboarding and the ongoing growth of developing advisors as well as Retail support team members.A key component of this role is facilitating a structured Developing Financial Advisor Program (including weekly learning two classroom intensives mentorship and monthly coaching) while ensuring training aligns with firm standards and a CIRO-regulated ideal candidate is a seasoned practitioner who is equally comfortable facilitating technical training on operational workflows as they are coaching advisors on business development initiatives to run an efficient growth-oriented practice. You will work closely with people leaders cross-functional partners and subject matter experts to ensure our advisor teams are well equipped to deliver exceptional client Learning and Program DesignDesign build and continuously improve learning programs for Retail advisors and support teams including onboarding technical training and practice management developmentArchitect end-to-end learning journeys in multiple formats (in-person virtual hybrid and self-paced)Partner with Learning and Development Compliance Client Services Marketing and Communications Technology and subject-matter experts to identify learning needs and align content to firm prioritiesDeveloping Advisor Program DeliveryLead the delivery of the Developing Financial Advisor Program (Phase 1 curriculum weekly assignments and two classroom intensives)Coordinate mentorship pairing and structure to ensure meaningful support and accountabilityFacilitate skill-building focused on prospecting client communication objection handling presentation skills and value articulationFacilitation Coaching and Advisor GrowthFacilitate workshops conferences and coaching sessions on practice operations client experience and business developmentProvide one-on-one and small-group coaching to advisors on prospecting referrals pipeline management segmentation and leveraging Customer Relationship Management (CRM)/technology toolsSupport people leaders in reinforcing key behaviours and maintaining a strong learning experience across teamsProgram Management and EvaluationOwn the Retail learning calendar scheduling and resource planning for Retail onboarding and advisor developmentOversee training logistics including enrollment attendance/completion tracking and platforms for hybrid deliveryImplement assessments (surveys knowledge checks and observation rubrics) and report outcomes to inform continuous improvementPractice Management Support and Change AdoptionCollaborate with the Head of Practice Management to identify and champion initiatives that enhance advisor productivity and team member experienceSupport rollout and adoption of new systems tools and processes through structured change management and trainingCoordinate across internal partners to ensure consistent content messaging and workflowsCOMPETENCIESAdvising and Coaching Use deep industry knowledge and relationship building skills to assess needs create solutions and provide coaching that helps advisors solve challenges grow their business and reach their goalsBusiness Development Understand the drivers of advisor growth including prospecting client segmentation client experience and operational efficiencyChange Management Create strategies plans and collateral that guide people and teams through change ensuring smooth transitions buy-in and sustained outcomesExperience Design Envision design and implement meaningful learning experiences translating them into practical programs processes and toolsProject Management Plan coordinate and execute initiatives balancing time resources and scope to meet objectives and support stakeholdersSystems and Application Proficiency Effectively use and champion key systems and applications (e.g. CRM Learning Management System (LMS) and portfolio management to drive adoption and efficiencyTraining and Facilitation Deliver engaging outcomes-focused learning using a variety of facilitation methods and formats to foster new skills abilities and knowledge in participantsESSENTIAL EXPERIENCEMinimum 5-7 years of experience in the wealth management industry in a client-facing advisory support sales or practice management capacityProven experience designing and delivering training programs for financial services professionalsDemonstrated technical knowledge of financial services systems products and regulatory guidelinesExperience coaching advisors or sales teams on business development prospecting and/or practice management disciplines is strongly preferredStrong written and verbal communication public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and engagingly to diverse audiencesExcellent organizational project management and time management abilities with strong attention to detailPREFERRED EXPERIENCECompletion of the Canadian Securities (CSC) Conduct and Practice Handbook (CPH) and Wealth Management Essentials (WME)Educational background in Adult Education and/or a Provincial Instructor Diploma is an assetProficiency in Microsoft 365 Salesforce Dataphile portfolio management software and LMS is preferredCurrent or previous Investment Representative (IR) or Registered Representative (RR) licensingWHAT WE OFFERA culture of openness collaboration and respect is foundational to our firm.
