What Youll Do
We are currently looking to add aClientIntakeLawyerwhohas experience in the area of Personal Injury (Employment being a plus)to our team. The primary goal of this position is toexecute our On-Demand Consults. Additionally this individual will bethe first line of contact when potential clients call into the firm needinglegal guidance. The successful candidate will also work with ourManaging Lawyerto find new ways to support our clients and our team.
You Will
- Provide excellent client care including regular contact by telephone email and in person
- Determine suitability of claims and if Litco is best equipped to represent the client(s)
- Work with clients to refer work that is out of scope for the firm or otherwise not suitable
- Provide guidance and directionto non-legal team members whoare in need oflegal opinions on client matters
- Work with the Client Solutions team on duties related to client intake and setting upconsultation meetings
- Answer initial calls from prospective clients and establish trust and confidence in our companys services
- Update all prospects information into the firms systems - properly record all data pertaining to each client
- Develop a complete understanding of the life of a client file and its various phases
- Understand and remain up to date on Rules of Court industry related materials and relevant changes
- Complete liability investigations as necessary
- Perform notary functions

- Have proven leadership skills in a fast-paced high volume work environment
- Have a J.D. orLL.Bfrom a recognized Canadian or International institution
- Have 1-5 years applicable legal experience
- Are an active member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
