Responsibilities
As a technician at Harbin Ford you are responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of customer vehicles through the following activities:
- Examine service advisor notes conduct inspections fix engine failures repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions replace parts and components and repair body damage to keep the vehicle in good working order.
- Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine safety and combustion control standards.
- Keep shop equipment in pristine condition by following operating and safety instructions at all times.
- Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles.
- Update job and product knowledge as required by the manufacturer
Qualifications
2 years of Service Technician experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent ASE Certification required
B level qualifications including Diesel Transmission Repair Diagnostic Electrical and Engine Repair
Dexterity requiring a steady hand excellent hand-eye coordination
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
Positive friendly attitude along with an eagerness to improve
Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
