JOB OVERVIEW

Are you the type of person who enjoys developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies In this role you will promote and support lean activities and develop a lean culture by leading defining and developing strategic activities for continuous improvement initiatives while following and improving establish standards across the company. Were looking for a team member with process improvement knowledge in a packaging environment.

This is an Onsite role in our Battle Creek Michigan Plant. You will travel up to 25% of the time.

HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING

• Safety First! From your first day you will start training to get up to speed on following company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices. No injuries here!

• The Daily Grind- Serving as member of the plant leadership team to drive improvements in safety food safety service financial results quality and employee engagement. Leading the plant wide cost savings program to meet annual targets. This includes identification validation coaching and execution of projects. Leading the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metric and process including maintaining measurement standards facilitating improvement plans and strategies training coaching and monthly reporting.

• Drive Change- Establishing and maintaining plant KPIs and visual factory tools and serving as KPLAS / downtime reporting system owner. Continually expanding and enhancing knowledge levels of Kellogg Work Systems lean manufacturing and industry best in class manufacturing cost savings projects and operations practices to develop a culture of continuous improvement. Deploying and coaching Lean practices 5S Kaizen AM (Autonomous Maintenance) and Kellogg Work Systems tools across all levels of the organization to deliver business results.

• Empower Teams- Identifying process inefficiencies and leading activities using cross-functional resources to deliver business results. Supporting team approaches to solving problems maintaining positive and productive relations with the hourly workforce plant management team sister plant resources and corporate resources. Benchmarking and best practice sharing across the organization. Provide support and leadership in the transition to digital factory management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in technical or business field with manufacturing experience in project and process management with extensive exposure to process improvement in manufacturing environment.
• Drive projects to focus on building sustainable processes to improve OEE.
• Drive improvement in packing line changeovers through SMED Methodologies.
• Daily Direction Setting for a team to implement improvements in processes and people.
• Working with Operations and Training departments to ensure progression of operations team members through skill card improvement and development
• Mentoring Operations team members in packing equipment concepts and processes
• Provide tracking and regular communication to various plant functions and teams regarding Manufacturing Reliability progress
• Document Standard Processes and Procedures
• Develop Centerline and Run to Target Measures
• Facilitate and Coach RCA events when Target performance is not met.
• Follow-up on action items from outstanding RCAs in packaging area.
• Complete Health Checks of improvement measures

Salary Range:$106160 - $132700

Salary pay ranges aredeterminedby role and level. Within the range the successful candidates starting base pay will bedeterminedbased on factors including job-related skills experience certifications qualifications relevant education or training and local market conditions.
