JOB SUMMARY: The Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Course Developer will serve in the creation of a new academic course entitled Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (Course) for use within LECOMs History & Physical Exam course curriculum. The Developer agrees to design create and deliver all materials necessary for a complete academically rigorous course suitable for LECOM students.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE DELIVERY OF:
- Course Structure
- Course description and learning objectives
- Weekly or modular content outline
- Required readings media and supplemental resources
- Assessment plan (quizzes assignments exams or alternative evaluations)
- Instructional Materials
- Lecture slides
- Instructor notes or scripts
- Case studies and clinical application scenarios
- AI related demonstrations examples or simulations (as appropriate)
- Compliance Requirements All materials must:
- Align with LECOM academic standards
- Comply with FERPA HIPAA and institutional privacy policies
- Avoid use of proprietary or non licensed AI tools or datasets
- Reflect current evidence based medical and technological knowledge
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:
- Ownership
- Upon final payment all course materials created under this Agreement become the exclusive property of LECOM.
- Developer Rights the Developer may:
- List the Course in professional portfolios
- Reference the work in CVs or academic dossiers
- Use nonproprietary components for future scholarly or instructional work
- The Developer may not distribute sell or repurpose the Course in its entirety without written permission from LECOM.
- Confidentiality the Developer agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding:
- Student information
- Institutional processes
- Internal communications
- Any nonpublic LECOM materials or data
- This obligation continues after the Agreement ends.
- Academic Integrity and Accuracy the Developer affirms that:
- All content will be original or properly licensed
- AI generated content will be reviewed for accuracy and bias
- No protected health information (PHI) will be used
- All medical information will be evidence based and appropriately cited.
- LECOM may request revisions prior to final acceptance.
- After implementation LECOM retains the right to update or modify the Course as needed for curricular accreditation or technological changes.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate with or without reasonable accommodations that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Strong educational skills with experience in medical academia artificial intelligence course and curriculum development course description learning objectives assessment planning and other tools needed to develop an academically rigorous course for LECOM students;
- Industry Credible Knowledge covering the breadth of the program course content and concepts as well as current evidence-based medical and technological knowledge;
- Understanding of osteopathic principles and practices;
- Ability to develop lecture slides instructor notes or scripts case studies clinical application scenarios and AI-related demonstrations examples or simulations;
- Compliance with State and Federal Regulations and Safety Protocols at the practice level.
- Knowledge of patients (HIPAA) and students (FERPA) privacy;
- Follow proper OSHA and safety guidelines;
- Strong communications skills are essential as well as computer literacy (MS Office Suite i.e. Word PowerPoint and Excel) and accurate data entry skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Must be accurate and attentive to detail;
- Must be trained and certified on the LECOMs Learning Management System (LMS) platform;
- Maintaining an established work schedule;
- Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy;
- Effectively using organizational and planning skills including attention to detail and follow-through;
- Assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks projects and demands;
- Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials;
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships;
- Be able to be flexible to accept other duties needed/assigned for the course needs;
- The ability to work cooperatively and collegially with others consistent with a workplace of dignity and respect and EEO rules and regulations;
- The ability to devote attention and energy to the important work of LECOM; and
- The ability to accept work directives from managers and supervisors in a respectful professional and cooperative manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to: an earned Doctorate or Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in a healthcare and/or business-related discipline. Must have a strong knowledge and expertise in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine so that the developed course reflects current evidence-based medical and technological knowledge and is academically rigorous and suitable for LECOM medical students.
