We are seeking an experienced and strategic Program Manager Aged Care to lead the design implementation and oversight of highimpact projects and initiatives across Western this role you will ensure WAPHA meets its obligations under Commonwealth funding agreements and delivers programs that improve outcomes for older Western Australians.

You will play a key role in shaping WAPHAs strategic priorities in aged care responding to major State and Commonwealth reforms driving program excellence and aligning aged care priorities with broader health system goals. Leading a highperforming team youll champion collaboration innovation and continuous improvement across complex multistakeholder environments.

A big part of your success in this role will come from how you bring people together to feel supported connected and clear on how their work contributes to the achievement of our goals.

Employment Type: Fulltime Maximum term contract for 2 years

Location: WAPHA Head Office Level 2 1 Hood Street Subiaco (Hybrid role)

Salary: Band 6 ($140k-$165k Plus 12% Superannuation & Salary Packaging)

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Monitor emerging policy and provide expert advice in the development of program plans and strategies that improve aged care outcomes
  • Provide strong people leadership fostering a positive team culture of collaboration ownership innovation agility and continuous improvement
  • Lead the implementation management and evaluation of aged care programs ensuring activities meet contractual deliverables and identified needs
  • Develop annual business plans monitor performance against KPIs and drive datainformed improvements
  • Manage risk budgets and reporting requirements with transparency and accountability
  • Build strong relationships with general practice aged care providers government agencies and industry peak bodies
  • Represent WAPHA at committees forums and sector events advocating for aged care priorities
  • Prepare and deliver presentations briefing notes and reports

About you

To be considered for this role candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

Essential experience and education

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and deliver outcomes across multistakeholder or complex environments
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders providers and communities to ensure effective system integration
  • Demonstrated ability to drive programs to achieve agreed outcomes including experience across project and program planning methodologies ideally in a health context
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration
  • Exceptional organisational analytical and problemsolving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects budgets and priorities within tight timeframes

Preferredknowledgeandskills

  • Strong understanding of aged care policy reforms and priorities within primary health care
  • Experience analysing developing and implementing policy with the ability to translate complex information into operational advice and priority setting
  • Proven ability to produce highquality reports submissions briefings and correspondence
  • Extensive experience within the healthcare sector ideally in primary care or aged care settings
