The Role
The School Caretaker will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance security and upkeep of the school site. This is a practical and varied role requiring reliability attention to detail and a proactive approach to health and safety.
Key responsibilities will include:
Opening and securing the school buildings
Carrying out routine maintenance repairs and site checks
Supporting health and safety compliance and reporting issues
Assisting with room setups for events and activities
Liaising with contractors and supervising works on site
Candidate Profile
Experience in a caretaking maintenance or facilities role (school experience desirable)
Practical skills in basic repairs and site maintenance
Good understanding of health and safety procedures
Reliable organised and able to work independently
Professional and approachable manner when working around students and staff
Strong commitment to safeguarding and site security
