About the Role
As an EYFS Teacher you will take responsibility for planning and delivering an engaging play-based curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will support children aged 35 during a crucial stage of their development helping them build confidence independence and a love of learning.
This role would suit a nurturing and reflective teacher who understands the importance of early childhood education and is committed to inclusive practice. You will work closely with teaching assistants Early Years leaders and parents to ensure every child is supported to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as an EYFS Teacher will include:
Planning and delivering high-quality EYFS lessons and continuous provision
Creating a safe stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Supporting childrens communication language and early literacy development
Delivering phonics early reading mark-making and early mathematics
Observing assessing and tracking childrens progress using EYFS assessment frameworks
Differentiating learning to meet individual needs including SEND and EAL
Supporting childrens personal social and emotional development
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues
Building strong relationships with parents and carers
Promoting positive behaviour and independence
Supporting indoor and outdoor learning experiences
Upholding safeguarding health and safety procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The school is seeking an EYFS Teacher who demonstrates:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within an EYFS setting (Nursery or Reception)
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
A nurturing patient and child-centred approach
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A reflective and proactive attitude
The following would be advantageous but not essential:
Experience working in a diverse school community
Experience supporting children with SEND or speech and language needs
Early Years or phonics leadership interest
