Job Summary
A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in south Birmingham is looking to appoint a motivated Early Career Teacher of English to join its dynamic department from January 2026.
The English department is a real strength of the school known for strong literacy outcomes and a supportive collaborative culture. ECTs are well supported and valued as part of the team.
The Role
You will teach English across KS3 and KS4 delivering lessons that build students confidence in reading writing and speaking. Shared schemes of work provide a strong structure while allowing you to develop your own teaching style.
You will:
Teach carefully sequenced lessons using shared resources
Develop behaviour management skills with consistent support
Use assessment to support student progress
Take part in departmental planning and moderation
