Job Summary

Character Designer Background Designer

SioFic is currently developing an original feature animation with its key members coming from years of experience in Hollywood.

In our exploration weve made a short film entitled Alex & Tumbo featuring 2 main characters from our feature.

Our animation project will be one of the biggest in South Korea to date. The first teaser trailer is scheduled for late 2020.

We are looking for Full-time/Contract Character Designer Background Designer Story Artist and Production Manager.

Please be noticed that all the job positions at Siofic should be done on-site. Perhaps we might hire artists from overseas who can work remotely in the future.

Airfare support Work Visa is negotiable once applicants pass the final interview.

Basic Information

Job type : Full-time / Contract (6-9 months)

Location: Seoul South Korea

Estimated Start Date : May 2020

Responsibilities

Ability to share ideas collaborate and work as a team with all members of the art department

Meet deadlines as assigned by supervisors.

Design elegant characters/buildings and environments to express in various shapes.

Collaborate with Art Director as well as the Asset department to create characters/Backgrounds expression acting guide modeling and shading packets.

Analyze the characters personalities characteristics and able to express visually.

Understand the background from the point of view of the story and able to express visually.

Qualifications

Strong character/background design skills

Excellent time-management skills

Knowledge of design software such as Photoshop etc.

Preferred qualifications

2 years experiences in a Character/Background Design role in Animation

Experience with Product Design (Industrial or product designer)

Experience in Feature Film or TV show as Character/Background Designer
