UW Medical Center-Northwest - Main Operating Room has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM)/RN3 as an Orthopedic and Spine service line coordinator. (The ANM/RN3) will support service lines at NW Main Operating room and the Outpatient Surgery Center. This role is critical to support operational excellence OR competency in a complex/diverse/high volume service.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full time 40 Hours per week

10 Hour shifts

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The AMN/RN3 is a role developed to work in coordination with leadership in Surgical Services to ensure the work is accomplished safely efficiently and according to best practice. The RN3 serves as leadership support for staff physicians and other related providers on service-specific issues. This position will work closely with leadership and staff at the outpatient surgery center in addition to the main hospital.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates knowledge and skills needed to function as a subject matter expert for their assigned service line.

Demonstrates efficiency flexibility and appropriate prioritization in ensuring daily availability of service line supplies instrumentation and equipment for patient care.

Collaborates with leadership to build reference /library of best practices / processes for onboarding / training team members to be competent at delivering service.

Demonstrates effective communication with surgeons staff and resources (internal and external) to support service line.

REQUIREMENTS

Current Washington State RN license or applicable RN Multistate license

Current BLS certification

Operating room circulating experience with a variety of specialties
