Department Profile

The Institutional Equity Division (IED) is a global leader in the origination distribution and trading of equity equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. The Firms equity Sales & Trading operations provide liquidity distribute content and create product solutions to help our clients generate alpha. The Equity Financing Products department acts as a strategic partner to more than 800 top hedge fund managers: executing and clearing trades across asset classes time zones and currencies; providing financing and expertise to help manage risk and benefit from technology; and consults to help launch new funds and connect with them potential investors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pricing and trading ETFs.
  • Responsible for electronic market marking.
  • Staying up to date on news on the various companies in your assigned sectors.
  • Liaising with desk analyst to stay up to date on the credit stories of different companies.
  • Staying in constant dialogue with clients and facilitate portfolio trades.
  • Manage the existing risk on the book.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and manage hedge and trade the firms risk exposures from our accumulated positions.

Skills required (essential):

  • Previous Trading experience is essential particularly ETFs associated products.
  • Proven experience of market-making and managing risks for client flow products.
  • You will be expected to quickly learn and utilize a broad base of knowledge and tools.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent and FCA Registered.
  • Experience of using Bloomberg and advanced Excel.

This role is deemed as a Certified roleand may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
