2026 Summer InternCloud Engineer(AWS/Azure)
We are seeking a motivated and curious2026 Summer InternCloud Engineer(AWS / Azure)to join our team and support the development and administration of cloud infrastructure withinAWS and Azureenvironments. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in cloud governance security and automation while contributing to the evolution of ourFathom Platformwithin theSCS environment.
This is an entry-level 10-week full-time internship expected to begin in June and end in August. Work will beremote with preference for occasional travel toRestonVA or Rockville MD. Pay is expected to be $28per hourfor graduate interns.At this time we are unable to provide housingnorrelocation assistance for this position.
WhatYoullDo
Assistin the administration and governance of AWS and Azure organizations.
Support cloud infrastructure projects including VPC designfirewallconfiguration and IAM policy management.
Collaborate with engineers to implement andmaintaincloud security tools and automation pipelines.
Contribute to the deployment and management of cloud-native products and services.
Work with tools such asGitHub ActionsPulumi andFortigateto support infrastructure as code and network security.
Participate in team meetings code reviews and documentation efforts.

Basic Qualifications:
A completed bachelorsdegree.
By start date acceptance/enrollmentverification or at least 9 credit hours of completed graduate-level courses preferably inComputer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Must be able to pass any required background check(s) which may include drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
AWS or Azure Associate Certification (or actively pursuing).
Basic understanding of networking IAM and cloud security principles.
Enthusiasm for learning andapplyingnew technologies.
Strong communicationand collaboration skills.
