What Youll Do
- Lead day-to-day field operations on heavy highway and DOT projects from mobilization through completion
- Direct grading and earthwork activities including mass excavation embankment and roadway subgrade operations
- Coordinate crews equipment and daily work plans to maintain production safety and schedule
- Work closely with project managers engineers inspectors and DOT representatives to drive field execution
- Monitor site conditions sequencing and productivity to support on-time project delivery
- Ensure compliance with DOT specifications safety requirements and quality standards
- Provide leadership and direction to foremen and field crews
What Were Looking For
- 10 years of experience as a Superintendent or Senior Field Leader on heavy highway or DOT projects
- Proven experience leading heavy highway projects valued at $25M
- Strong background in grading and earthwork operations; underground utility work is supported separately
- Required DOT experience with one or more of the following: GDOT SCDOT NCDOT VDOT TxDOT TDOT or FDOT (Northern Florida)
- Ability to manage large crews heavy equipment fleets and complex site logistics
- Strong field leadership communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety quality and consistent execution
