POSITION TITLE: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN I
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING
REPORTS TO: ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR
SALARY GRADE: 1NE REVISION DATE: 8/03
JOB FUNCTION:
Executes the assigned duties as necessary to support technical issues as required to resolve product or process problems.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist engineer in day-to-day activities. Included but not limited to:
- Program planning and scheduling.
- Special lot generation tracking and documentation.
- Development of parts procedures (PESs) and routings.
- Provide technical support for Quality and Manufacturing.
- Learn the fundamentals of tooling gating designing and efficiency shell systems foundry parameters metallurgy blueprint reading and interpretation and statistical analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of evaluations and reports to management and customers.
- Assist in the cost reduction activities and process improvements.

EDUCATION:
High school education required. Prefer 2 years of technical education in an engineering-related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Entry level 2 years experience in engineering or technical environment.
SUPERVISION:
Moderate supervision received. No supervisory responsibility.
