Are you a current business finance or accounting student looking to gain real-world experience in a hands-on fast-paced industry Join us for a 4-month work term as a Credit & Collections student. If you are a strong communicator with excellent organizational skills we want to hear from you!
You will support the Credit team with day-to-day accounts receivable and collection activities for concrete and aggregates this role you will receive hands-on exposure to credit management. You will build practical skills while learning how finance supports operations in the construction materials sector.
What you will be doing
- Monitor accounts receivable and maintain accurate aging reports
- Follow up on past-due invoices through phone and email communication
- Research and resolve billing inquiries related to deliveries pricing or job numbers
- Update and maintain customer account information and collection notes
- Assist with credit limit applications reviews and required documentation
- Collaborate with sales and operations to address account-related questions
- Prepare and distribute weekly reports to sales and operations teams
- Provide general administrative and reporting support as needed
What we would like from you
- Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Finance Accounting Business or a related field
- Must be returning to school at the end of the 4-month work term
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office
- Eagerness to learn credit and collections processes
- Interest in construction building materials or finance
Location and other key details:
- This is a 4-month temporary position commencing May 2026 based out of our Calgary head office: 5055 11th St NE Calgary Alberta
- The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
