Footscray Kindergarten is located within the Billy Button Childrens Centre in the heart of Footscray and is an Exceeding Rated welcoming service with experienced managers and committed long-serving team.

At Sparkways we value the Co-educator (Cert III minimum) and Diploma minimum roles equally. There are some differences in role and responsibility. Unfortunately due to funding there is a small difference in the hourly rate. Most of our staff in Coeducator positions have Diploma or Degree level qualifications. - (Diploma minimum) Lilly Pilly Group
  - 17.5 hours per week
  - Roster: Mon & Tue: 8.00 am to 5.15 pm includes planning time with the Teacher after the end of the session
  - $28.01 per hour with paid time off over all term breaks
  Additional Educator (Cert III minimum) Waratah & Bottlebrush Groups
  - 30 hours per week
  - Roster: 5 days per week Mon to Fri: 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
  - Up to $28.01 per hour with paid time off over all term breaks
  Casual Educators and Teachers
  - Very experienced staff only
  - Must be available for 8 hours shifts starting at 8.00 am
  - Must be available at least two (2) days per week in most weeks
  - Preference for staff available at short notice the night before or the morning of the shift
  - Educators up to $39.50 per hour
  - Teachers VECTEA rates with 25%casual loading
  - Additional relief shifts also available at Maribyrnong Tarneit Deanside and more
  Increase your hours
  - You can ask about joining our relief team on your days off to increase your hours and pay
  - Apply for other part time positions as they become available

  - Are you an experienced & qualified Educator
  - Have you had extensive & recent experience working with large groups of 3 and 4 year old children including children with additional needs
  - Do you have the skills to scaffold and document childrens learning in play based child led pedagogy
  - Are you experienced in writing observations and learning stories and using StoryPark
  - Experience working with children and families with a trauma background would be an advantage
  - Can you contribute to a child-centred friendly team
  - Do people describe you as positive and energetic
  - Are you seeking part-time work with paid time off over the term breaks
  - Do you want to work in a kindergarten close to home
