Job Summary

Furniture CAD Design job involves creating detailed 2D/3D drawings models and technical blueprints for furniture using software (AutoCAD SketchUp) to bring concepts to production collaborating with teams (production sales clients) on materials costs and trends ensuring designs are functional aesthetically pleasing and manufacturable while managing projects from idea to completion focusing on quality safety and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: Conceptualize and develop furniture collections (tables chairs cabinets) from ideas sketches or client briefs focusing on function aesthetics and market trends.

Technical Drawing: Create precise 2D/3D CAD drawings models and technical specifications for manufacturing including dimensions materials and assembly details.

Collaboration: Work closely with production engineers marketing and sales teams to ensure designs meet quality cost and timeline goals.

Material & Prototyping: Select suitable materials (wood metal textiles) and assist in building/testing prototypes to resolve issues.

Trend Research: Stay updated on industry trends new materials and manufacturing techniques.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD SketchUp SolidWorks).

Strong understanding of furniture construction materials and manufacturing processes.

Creativity problem-solving and attention to detail.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
