Position Overview
The Fleet Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating the companys fleet operations in South Sudan. This role ensures vehicles are properly maintained utilized efficiently and operated in compliance with company policies client requirements and local regulations. The Fleet Officer will support Q Sourcing Servtecs delivery service by ensuring safe reliable and cost-effective transport solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management
Oversee daily operations of company vehicles including allocation scheduling and usage.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements mileage fuel consumption and service history.
Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and meet safety standards.
Maintenance & Repairs
Coordinate routine service and repairs with approved garages and mechanics.
Monitor vehicle performance and report mechanical issues promptly.
Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to South Sudan traffic laws and company fleet policies.
Conduct regular inspections to enforce safety standards.
Train drivers on defensive driving safety protocols and company procedures.
Cost Control & Reporting
Monitor fuel usage and implement measures to reduce wastage.
Prepare monthly fleet performance and cost reports for management.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Driver Supervision
Supervise and support company drivers ensuring professionalism and compliance.
Handle driver scheduling leave management and performance evaluations.
Address disciplinary issues and promote a culture of accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Logistics Transport Management Business Administration or related field.
Minimum of 35 years experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance transport regulations and fleet tracking systems.
Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management software.
Excellent organizational problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience working in South Sudan or East Africa is an added advantage.
