The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Holman is seeking an Operations Assistant to join our Upfitting team in Huntington IN

  • Shift: 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM Monday - Friday

What will you do

  • Review and enter customer sales orders into the system accurately.
  • Communicate with customers regarding order status timelines and updates.
  • Create and manage manufacturing (shop) orders based on customer demand and production capacity.
  • Schedule new orders according to shop workload and available openings.
  • Generate job documentation and attach required files (drawings templates PDFs) for shop floor use.
  • Run weekly manufacturing reports and create custom Excel reports as needed.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies between orders schedules drawings and inventory records.
  • Prepare purchase orders for raw materials parts and outside services required for production.
  • Ensure materials and outside services are ordered in the correct quantities and received on time.
  • Maintain fabrication stock inventory and reorder supplies as needed to prevent production delays.
  • Receive and process incoming purchase orders in the system.
  • Complete invoicing and close out jobs once production is finished.
  • Track tooling records and plant safety maintenance logs.
  • Assist with additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

What are we looking for

  • 1-3 years of previous work experience in an office setting.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and have strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills while being able to manage time and work in a team environment
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel etc.).
  • Experience with E Drawings and Data Management software (M1) preferred
  • 5 plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with metal weldments and fabricated structures in a hands on or supportive role is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience reading blueprints is a plus
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to employment

Regular Full-Time

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills experience relevant education or training and geographic location starting in the range of $20.00 - $27.49 USD per hour.
