LOCATION: Portsmouth OR Stevenage (60% of your working week must be office based)

TYPE: Full time

TRAVEL : approx once a quarter

About the Role

The work you support will travel to the stars and impact generations to come

This Configuration Manager role will appeal to people who enjoy the combined elements of digging down into the nitty gritty of data (were talking formatting cross checking and going through pages of data) and then rolling up your sleeves and talking through step by step why something needs changing or talking with the user until you see the light-bulb of understanding.

Advanced Word Excel and PowerPoint skills required specifically tables formatting cross referencing merging editing and templates. This is not your usual I can bold italicise and underline type role.

How will you contribute to the team

• Uphold communicate and facilitate understanding of the Configuration Management (CM) guidelines and tools. This includes working with your team and supporting users on a daily basis

• Champion the Configuration Management policies and by reaching out informing questioning and ensuring consistency across the business unit.

• Record control maintain and monitor data and documents in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

• Utilise your advanced Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook skills to edit document formats tables templates and figures to meet data control standards.

• Learn and appreciate the importance of the tools policies and procedures

About you

• Previous experience in ONE of the following: Configuration Management (CM) Technical Data management Librarianship / Document Management

• Interested in bringing new ideas to improve current policies and procedures

• Passionate about assisting users and adjusting communication styles for different users

• Looking for a role where crossing the Ts and dotting the Is is important. Where finding solutions might mean an internet search or reaching out to a colleague.

• Advanced user of Word Excel PowerPoint Visio and Outlook

• Previous experience of file / data management tools (MS Office PDF editor FTP Nero etc.).

• Previous experience of Product Lifecycle Management tools (Windchill Teamcenter Aras Minerva etc.)

Not a 100% match We are also looking for a CADM Officer - supports your personal growth with customised development solutions.
