Role Details
We are seeking two Senior Lawyers with at least 10 years of experience to join our Energy Resources and Infrastructure team in Singapore.
Our team engages in a diverse range of projects project finance general corporate and private M&A work. We focus on the development and/or financing of energy and infrastructure assets with particular focus on data centres infrastructure and resources sectors and collaborate extensively with clients in other sectors including TMT and life sciences across ASEAN and the broader APAC region.
Our work includes:
Structuring and documentation for the full life cycle of a wide variety of projects
Joint ventures
Advising on all types of mergers & acquisition activity including advice on cross-border investment (and country entry)
Commodities sale and purchase/offtake transactions
General corporate and regulatory advice
Applicant criteria for the position:
We are a close-knit team actively developing KWMs market presence in Singapore South/Southeast Asia and the wider APAC region. We collaborate closely with colleagues in KWMs other offices across the region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who are enthusiastic about advancing KWMs projects and M&A practice in Asia collaborating with clients and colleagues in Singapore and cross-border and being involved as senior team members in all aspects of our office life.
We seek candidates with demonstrated experience in projects for clients in the region. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong background in construction (and related) arrangements and legal qualifications recognised in Singapore.
Additionally candidates will have:
A minimum of 10 years experience in similar private practice roles working on energy resources and infrastructure matters at least 5 years of that experience being in Asia.
Strong project management skills and experience including structuring energy infrastructure and resources projects joint ventures business acquisitions and divestments
First-rate experience in drafting high quality documents
Excellent analytical communication and research skills to deliver prompt and commercially astute advice
A strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management abilities playing a key role in supporting and actively developing our client relationships (and experience presenting at industry-related programs helping to manage strategic relationships and networks and thinking creatively about other opportunities for practice development)
A team focus to mentor junior colleagues develop strong internal relationships and help ensure the effective utilisation of the group
