Harborview - Food and Nutrition has an outstanding opportunity for a Cook 2.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Full-time 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
  • Weekends included
  • 11:30am-8:00pm

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Nutrition and Food Services department supports Harborviews mission by delivering extraordinary experiences with compassionate evidence-based care unforgettable customer service and fresh and nutritious food for patients families and the greater community.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Responsible for promoting excellence in guest relations and support the hospitality model as well as promoting the mission vision and values of the UW Medicine Health System.


PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares accurate high-quality food for patients to order following standardized recipes and procedures
  • Keeps station and cooking equipment clean following all infection control procedures
  • Begins and ends tray assembly including service ware condiments hot and cold items as they are finished by Line and Cold Pantry Cooks
  • Identifies product needs and requisitions items required to prepare tray assembly
  • Notifies Sous Chef in advance of expected shortages
  • Prepares all lunch/dinner orders accurately and efficiently follows food preparation procedures


REQUIREMENTS

  • Possession of or eligible for a food handlers permit AND
  • One year of experience as a Food Service Worker; or equivalent education/experience

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$45288.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$57480.00 annual

Other Compensation:

$2000 sign on bonus
