The opportunity

As a Project Supply Chain Manager at Hitachi you will play a key role in driving project success from tendering through to final delivery. Working closely with our Sales and Project teams you will lead all Supply Chain Management activities and strengthen our competitiveness by identifying optimal suppliers securing the best commercial terms and right prices.

You will be involved in projects of varying size and scope. Our customers perform their businesses in various fields which means that the technology used also varies.

• You will plan execute and report on project sourcing performance.

• DefineProject Procurement Rules.

• Establish and maintain theProject Procurement Plan.

• OverseeOrder PlacementandDeliveriesto ensure timely execution and cost control.

• Develop and manage thesupplier baseand associated risks.

• HandleSupplier Quality IssuesClaim Management andSupplier Performance Evaluation.

• Monitor and forecastcost reductioninitiatives andspending trends.

Your background

• Sound knowledge of project supply chain execution.

• Technical Contractual and Commercial understanding.

• Technical degree/Commercial degree.

• Project execution experience.

• Product experience/knowledge.

• Knowing Norwegian both spoken and written is an advantage.
