We are seeking a National Food Safety Manager to provide strategic leadership and strengthen food safety performance across Compass Group this role you will oversee compliance with food safety legislation and company standards across all operating brands while driving a strong proactive food safety culture. You will lead the development of policies manage HACCP systems and implement risk mitigation initiatives. Through effective stakeholder engagement targeted training and continuous improvement you will enhance operational performance and ensure the integrity of all food products.

This is a permanent full-time role. This role can be based in Melbourne Sydney or Brisbane with national travel required depending on your home location.

The Position

  • Lead national food safety compliance ensuring alignment with the Australian New Zealand Food Standards Code and legislation
  • Oversee development review and maintenance of the CGA Food Safety Handbook and HACCP systems
  • Drive continuous improvement across audits inspections risk management and incident response
  • Support implementation and optimisation of the Digital HACCP system including training and operational support
  • Analyse food safety incidents and implement longterm risk mitigation solutions
  • Provide accurate reporting on food safety performance and key metrics

The Person

  • 5 years experience in food safety or a related field with strong regulatory knowledge
  • HACCP certification or equivalent (essential)
  • Bachelors degree in food science Microbiology or related field (desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to influence operational stakeholders
  • Experience with ISO9001 and food safety/quality management systems (desirable)
  • Collaborative working style across business units and operational teams
