We are now looking for a Product Development Scientist to join our PSX R&D department in Uppsala focusing on providing outstanding products to our customers. As part of the Focus team you will contribute to both the creation of new products and the improvement of existing ones. This role is based at the PSX headquarters in Uppsala.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead both customer as well as product development projects from concept to launch.

  • Design and execute experiments supporting product claims and robustness.

  • Author and review technical documentation.

  • Collaborate with QA/RA Manufacturing and Product Management.

  • Drive troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex technical issues.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Life Sciences Molecular Biology Biomedical Sciences or a related field or M. Sc. and equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred in industry focused on product development in a regulated environment such as ISO 13485 or IVD/IVDR.

  • Deep understanding of molecular biology techniques proteomics and immunological assays.

Competences:

  • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring colleagues.

  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills full professional proficiency in English.

  • A collaborative proactive and organized team-player
