JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Software Engineer who will be responsible for software development in the Java language for the Regional Applications System Architecture team. This role will design and develop network interface applications that perform processing on message traffic between the program and various external elements as well as design and develop automated testing and analysis tools to support requirements verification and perform in-depth analysis and technical support of software products.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience developing software on Linux platforms is required.
• Experience developing software using Java.
• Familiarity with automated unit and acceptance testing.
• Understanding of Ballistic Missile Defense concepts Battle Management and Command and Control (BM/C2) systems defense communications systems and the BMDS in general is desired.
• Hands on experience with software development and CM tools such as Eclipse Maven Gradle Nexus JUnit Confluence SonarQube JIRA Jenkins Git and GitLab highly desirable.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Must have an understanding of the full life-cycle software engineering practices and procedures applicable to large software systems to include:
  • Recent hands on application development experience or coursework in the use of the Java programming language.
  • Understanding of software unit testing strategies automated software builds continuous integration and continuous deployment.

EDUCATION: Bachelors with 5 or Masters with 3 Years of Experience

LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site in Huntsville AL

SALARY RANGE: $ 105000 to $ 127000
