Job Summary

As a Senior Front-End Engineer at Ben youll own the experience that hundreds of thousands of employees and HR teams interact with daily - benefits browsing cashback plan configurations the admin tools that make complex benefit administration feel simple.

Youll take features from design to production: collaborating with product and design to understand the problem figuring out the right approach building it shipping it.

Your work will involve contributing towards our component architecture styling standards tooling decisions and accessibility practices the goal being to deliver the best possible user experience for our customers!

Things youll be working on

  • Build and ship front-end features that solve real problems for HR teams and employees

  • Own the quality and consistency of our UI - component patterns styling guidelines

  • Collaborate with designers to turn ideas into polished accessible interfaces

  • Review our front-end code and shape how we build across the team

  • You will be involved in driving technical decisions about tooling patterns and architecture as our front-end evolves

  • Think about scalability - what happens when we have 10x the users 10x the complexity

  • Ensure security best practices are baked into everything we build

Youll thrive in this role if you...

  • Have deep experience building modern front-end applications with React and TypeScript

  • Care about craft - clean components consistent patterns thoughtful abstractions

  • Enjoy collaborating with designers and have opinions about what makes a great user experience

  • Are pragmatic: you know when to polish and when to ship

  • Have a strong ownership mindset and enjoy delivering projects end-to-end

  • Have excellent communication skills adaptable to both tech and business audiences

Nice-to-haves

  • Have worked on enterprise-scale products (B2B SaaS HR tech fintech)

  • Have driven work on accessibility standards and how to build inclusive interfaces

You will not love this role if you

  • Prefer a slow or highly predictable pace we move quickly and value action

  • Feel uncomfortable owning projects end-to-end and being accountable for outcomes

  • Prefer maintaining the status quo we challenge assumptions and improve constantly

  • Want a heavily structured environment were still building processes as we grow

  • Struggle with ambiguity or prefer prescriptive direction youll get context but youll need to figure things out

  • Wait for others to take initiative this is a proactive high-performance team

Competitive base salary equity so you own what you build

100 monthly personal Ben Balance: for whatever works for you whether thats Netflix Spotify or a really expensive cup of coffee! This allowance will increase by 50 for each year of service until you reach 250
